SANWO-OLU SCORECARD AND THE NEED FOR RE-ELECTION; ONIBA CHARGES LAGOSIANS, GRANTS UNION MEMBERS DUE-FREE WEEK

Towards the preparation ahead of the gubernatorial and state legislative councils elections coming up on Saturday, 11th March 2023, His Royal Highness Oba Sulaimon Raji urges his subjects to vote for merit other than sentiments as they  carry out their civic responsibilities.

As a result of the sterling performance and proven track records Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has pulled to his credit across the twenty LGAs and thirty-seven LCDAs in Lagos, Oniba Ekun throws his weight and unwavering support behind the working Governor. According to the distinguished monarch who also chairs the Lagos State Parks and Garage Administration, he stated that Governor Sanwoolu has since inception of his administration performed tremendously well as an astute technocrat and leader. He said, "our governor is doing well, and we all must ensure he gets the second term re-election because one good turn deserves another". 

He (Oniba) stated that over the 4 years in office, Governor SanwoOlu has commissioned hundreds of roads, renovated and built hundreds of facilities, partnered with firms to train thousands of practitioners, completed police posts and courts, donated security and emergency equipment worth billions of naira,   generated over 50,000 jobs, introduced a one billion naira agriculture value chain fund, constructed jetties, introduced more modern day transportation, acquired 10-Car infra-city metropolitan speed trains for the 37km Lagos Red Line project, and hundreds of more visible projects. Oniba remarked that indeed Mr. Governor has kept his promises and done well, and deserves to be given a second term to complete the ongoing projects and continue to make Lagos the frontline of excellence in Lagos.

In furtherance, he persuades the good people of Iba kingdom and every well meaning Lagosian to troop out en-masse  and vote for the governor and other members of the House of Assembly in order to record resounding victory. He assured Lagosians that a vote for Gov. Sanwo-Olu and APC in Lagos is a vote for shared wealth and prosperity, improved health care, accessible road networks and quality education, which are the hallmarks of a mega city.

To support his union members, the state chairman (Oniba) has directed all union members not to pay dues for this week. He noted that this is a means to support the union members ahead of the forth coming election.

When asked about his position on other aspirants, Oniba remarked that he is not unaware of the gimmicks and nefarious agenda of the unscrupulous elements who are hell-bent on destabilizing the steady progress cum unprecedented development Lagos is currently witnessing. Amidst the backdrop of the ethnical and tribal incitement, he noted that Lagosians must sue for peace and eschew from acts that could endanger the peace and tranquility of the State. He submitted that all their schemes are known and shall be expunged by a landslide winning at the polls.

He likened the opposition efforts to undermine the progress of Lagos to a jejunistic adventure, a mere parody that will eventually subject them to ignominy and tomfoolery. 

He charged Lagosians to go check the unmatched performances of the Lagos State government in pursuance of the THEMES agenda and reassured them that the developmental projects that the governor is embarking upon will be completed before the end of his 2nd term bid.
