NANS JCC LAGOS ELECTION; MY STAND, POSITION AND FIST WITH THE TRUTH

An African proverb says, no matter how long a lie stays it can never become the truth and it is better to a minority on the side of the truth than be the majority at the side of lies.

Our generation needs to have a crusader who would be a light that shines despite the darkness that pushes people to align with it because it is popular and convenient. One thing is my confidence; we would always be at the side of the truth than romance lies just because it appeals to our present. 

I have been receiving calls from students and stakeholders concerning the last NANS JCC LAGOS election which was free and fair; a testament to the fact we have a leadership that believes and celebrates excellence through the office of the SAE, MrTokunbo Wahab who gave the order that all things must be done without interference from the government. I say a very big thank you to him and his office because of a truth nobody interfered on the proceedings and outcome of the election.

As an intelligentsia cum a progressive, I accepted the outcome of the election based on the integrity of the process until it was bought to our notice the fraudulent act of one of the aspirant. It was a rude shock as he played his game well to the detriment of the constitution and the integrity of the association.

What a deviation from the foray of intelligent, progressive and global minded leaders Lagos State parades. It is an insult on our collective ideology of what progress is.

I am a man of peace and I believed in the axiom that says peace is not the absence of war but the ability to win the war and make peace the order. This is not just a war for myself but a clarity to be able to say of a truth in our generation we did something’s right. 

I laugh at those who said I am desperate for power and I smile because if indeed I was; I knew the weapons at my disposal and they are weapons that can make the mighty bow and fright yet chose to play by the rules of engagement because we signed a pact to be one and truthful.

Is this a war to massage my ego NO

Is this to prove a point NO

Is it to show how bad a loser I am NO

It is to show the world that our generation can do things right and I won’t be fighting a lost battle because of the avalanche of information at our disposal that the TRUTH is the TRUTH. We have all to prove to any level that what we are saying is the TRUTH and anybody who thinks he or she can change the narrative, would find himself or herself to blame.

I close with this quote, history continues to remain a story of perspectives but learning from the right side is germane. Don’t just follow the bangwagon of mediocre whose leadership is galvanized with the hunger in their stomach and the holes in their pocket. History will revisit this saga and blame me and my team for allowing lies to become the truth.
