Ramadan: Unity of Shomolu /Bariga is not negotiable - Abiru.

A member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Rotimi Abiru, Representing Shomolu Constituency Two has reassured the people of his constituency that the unity of Shomolu/Bariga is not negotiable for the purpose of development and progress of the area.

Abiru stated this today at the annual meeting with league of Imams in Shomolu/Bariga which took place at Adaranijo Central Mosque, Pedro area in Lagos State.

The lawmaker,  in his address welcome  the league of Imams annual program sued for dialogue on issues of importance within the area.

 The lawmaker assured them that he and  other leaders in the area are always working for the unity amongst the residents  of the area.

While describing  efforts of both the federal and state governments in containing the spread of the deadly Covid-19 disease  as  highly appreciated, he appealed to the members of his constituency that the Covid is still very much around and that  they should take responsibility and obey all COVID protocols as laid down by the government .

Abiru further assured the league of Imams of his continued efforts in ensuring that the state government increase the number of Arabic language teachers in primary and secondary Schools in the area.

He further assured the league of Imams of his Commitment for the ongoing permanent site of Muslim Community cemetery  in the area Will be ready soon.

The lawmaker urged the Imams to use the period of holy month of Ramadan to pray for Lagos State and Nigeria in general on various challenges facing us the country.

He later presented the Ramadan bumper packs and Cash gifts to the Imams.

The chairman of league of Imams and Arabic Teachers in Bariga LCDA, Imam Isiak Olohuniyo, appreciated the gesture and reassured the lawmaker of their supports for the purpose of unity and developments of Shomolu/Bariga area.
